1.17.020 Entry of Judgment

(a) Upon a plea of guilty or a verdict of guilty, the Tribal Court must fix a time for pronouncing judgment rendered. Prior to pronouncing judgment the court shall make a pre-sentence investigation, unless the court finds that there is in the record information sufficient to enable the meaningful exercise of sentencing discretion, and the court enters this finding on the record.

(b) If the defendant is found not guilty or for any other reason is entitled to be discharged, judgment shall be entered accordingly. The judgment shall be signed by the judge and entered by the clerk.
