26.11.180 False Arrest

It shall be unlawful for any public officer or person pretending to be a law enforcement officer to, under the pretense or involvement of any process or other legal authority, arrest or detain a person against their will, except where such person reasonably believed he is authorized by law to do so. False arrest shall be punishable as a Class [3] three offense.
