3.01.010 Self-Incrimination

Every natural person has a privilege, which he may claim, to refuse to disclose in an action or to a public official of this Tribe or any governmental agency or division thereof any matter that will incriminate him. He cannot be compelled in a criminal action to be a witness against himself, except a defendant in a criminal case who takes the stand to testify on his own behalf may be required to give testimony against himself. Such testimony shall be limited to the charge on trial.
