Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians Tribal Code.

45.02.020 Purpose

It is the purpose of this Act to:

(a) provide a clear and comprehensive national and Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians mandate for the elimination of discrimination against individuals with disabilities;

(b) provide clear, strong, consistent, enforceable standards addressing discrimination against individuals with disabilities;

(c) ensure that the Federal and Tribal Government plays a central role in enforcing the standards established in this Act on behalf of individuals with disabilities; and

(d) invoke the sweep of congressional and Tribal Governance authority, including the power to enforce the United States of America (U.S. Constitutional fourteenth amendment) and Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians TMBC0473-12-07 Resolution adopted, amendment and to regulate commerce, in order to address the major areas of discrimination faced day-to-day by people with disabilities.
