5.02.240 Juvenile Detention; Hearing Limitation

Any juvenile arrested for a violation of law must have a hearing within forty-eight (48) hours to decide if further detention is warranted. If further detention is warranted, the Court may impose commitments and judgments under Section 5.02.110 of this Code. If further detention is not warranted, the child must be released immediately.
