7.05.040 Substitutes for Consideration

The following shall be substitutes for consideration:

(a) A promise to perform a legal duty created in a past transaction and owing to the promisee is enforceable without new consideration.

(b) If the promisee reasonably relied on promisor's promise to his detriment or forbearance, the contract will be enforced.
