34.01.060 Election Required; Exceptions

No Governing Body, and no governing board thereof, may issue bonds without being first authorized by a unanimous vote of the membership of both the governing body of the issuing entity and the Tribal Council voting upon said question. However, pursuant to a vote of greater than fifty percent of all the qualified voters of the Turtle Mountain Tribe voting upon the question at any general election or special election may authorize such indebtedness in the absence of such unanimous consent.
