47.02.130 Confidentiality

Any employee or representative of the Tribe who knowingly discloses any information considered by the Tribal Council to be confidential and obtained exclusively under the authority of this Code may be subject to a civil penalty not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). Disclosure of confidential information shall also constitute grounds for disciplinary action or dismissal. For purposes of this section, it shall not be considered a breach of confidentiality for information obtained under this Code to be shared with officials of tribal departments or federal agencies responsible for energy production, lease compliance, royalty collection, or related matter with respect to the Tribe's territory.
