5.01.050 The Rights and Responsibilities of the Foster Parents

(a) The right and responsibility to be involved and informed of planning for the child.

(b) The responsibility, with the agency, of providing food, medical, and clothing for the child.

(c) The responsibility of providing shelter for the child.

(d) The right to protect the physical being of the child.

(e) The right and responsibility to meet the emotional needs of the child.

(f) The right to assistance from the supervising social service agency in meeting the needs of the child.

(g) The responsibility of keeping the supervising agency informed of the status of the child.

(h) The responsibility of confidentiality regarding the child and natural parents.

(i) The right and responsibility of continued education regarding foster parenting, the needs of foster children, and planning for children.

(j) The right to obtain emergency medical treatment for the child.
